From what I can gather, the fade to white is a technique that keeps the viewer out of the loop until they announce it later in the story. They give us clues in dialogue but fade away to keep suspense.

I don't think most people would call this a delay, 7 days, when you get groups that wait 1-2 months for a new release at times, thanks for doing it despite that.
