are we reading the same manga? The author tried pretty hard (especially in this arc) to flesh out all the girls. Did you just, ignore the character development of Ritsu and Shiori, right before this???Wtf is this bullshit of a chapter ? They brushed of Koyuki and her loss to start another battle, the only character that had actual development besides the main two
I don't think you're very media literate, because you don't seem to understand Michiru's character arc so far. Girl's being exploited by her parents as a money-printer, as the adults in the idol industry as a pawn, a chess piece for their own political gains. She knows all of this and knows full well she can't do shit to fix this (without the money by debuting as idol she's fucking dead, but debuting is also a dead end because she will only be exploited even further), which is why she's in despair. However, even in the depth of such a no-hope situation, Michiru still want to have faith in other people, still want to believe there's hope in the end. That's why her singing is much more touching, and allows her to win.for a kid full of ego that didnt want anyone to pity her (then proceed to make a chapter about pitying her) where the logic is Just "she believes in people even If they dont believe her" wtf is this Naruto BS ? Like the Author has to understand that we cant hear the song so you cant Just pull BS like this as the sole reason for someone to Win. Im so mad wtf
Cool so it's bullshit lol, everything we know so far from her is a tell no show so there's no emotion to be developed by the reader. Her reasoning for winning is also once again something that got ass pulled 5 pages before the moment.which is why she's in despair. However, even in the depth of such a no-hope situation, Michiru still want to have faith in other people, still want to believe there's hope in the end.
I feel that making her apologize was also a bit to Yuuri's satisfaction too. Anw, while it was mean and weird, at least it helped as an ice-breaker, allowing others to tell Tsumugi it's no big deal, helping her to be a bit more confidence.ik yuuri was tryna build her sister's character up and help w socialising but jesus fucking christ making her apologise for having an asthma attack is real fucked up what the hell. even the others were like "bro it's not that big a deal" yuuri just weird af man
I mean, that's not the only defining factor that gave her the win, it's been said and shown from the start that Michiru was more skilled, in great part because she had far more experience (years, compared to a few months), and though Koyuki's growth since the beginning of the cruiser has been amazing and a surprise to everyone (specially her teachers), it was clearly an uphill battle for her, there's just so much you can do to improve in a such a short amount of time. The new factor of this chapter in particular was that Michiru was actually giving a less technical performance compared to her practice sessions (more than likely given to her confrontation with Karin on the bath), something that a lot of characters noticed and commented on, and that served as an edge for her to give a more emotional performance that could sway the audience (it was clearly a close decision though). The author then used this to show a bit of Tsubasa's perspective on the situation, and to give a bit of commentary on the theme (and reality) of the exploitation of minors in the entertainment industry.Cool so it's bullshit lol, everything we know so far from her is a tell no show so there's no emotion to be developed by the reader. Her reasoning for winning is also once again something that got ass pulled 5 pages before the moment.
"oh i had a bad childhood but now i'm living in hope of a bright future" that's literally the past of 90% of the WSJ MCs lol
Literally the sukuna of this series, an excuse fest of artificial reasons to praise a character just because it's the only one with common sense lol
maybe you haven't watched idol survival shows. In shows like that there are about 100 participants, all working with the goal of being debuted, and most of the time the debut group only has about 5-9 slots. Having that much people competing over such a small prize always lead to tension and drama. The SSS might be the luckiest reality show production of all time. They don't even need to manufacture drama, these girls are doing their job for them fr fr
