Hmm, i am pay that much attiention, put aside from Ibuki Mimi, there are no other ship pairing are there ?
Here is every possible pairing that you could ship right now that I could see:
Ibuki x Mimi (good job you have eyes)
Ritsu x Mimi(older charas who are scared of falling off)
Koyuki x Mimi(again older charas with Koyuki bein HEAVILY inspired by Mimi)
Karin x Mimi(has not had nearly as much setup but I do think we’ll get something with them eventually)

(Now just to clarify Mimi being the protag can probably be shipped with everyone but those are the most relevant ones imo sorry Yuuri)

Ibuki x Shuri(they slept together)
Ritsu x Hitoe(went to same music school + rivals)
Suzu x Karin (your classic timid chara + the outgoing one)
Karin x Michiru(knew each other in the past + bathroom scene)
Anon x Tsumugi(youngest ones + connected to each other in the last battle)
To be honest, there’s probably more that you could say but these are the most noticeable ones so far. This manga makes character relationships/dynamics fun, lol

Anon and Mimi in the same team, hmm... I expect great things from those two. I feel like Hitoe will be the third-wheel on a personal level, but on the stage they will complement each other. So Ibuki and Ritsu will make a love song towards Mimi?

Hoping for Anon's team to win the interim test so she can go on a media tour with her new mom Aria.
Expecting Koyuki's team to win the interim test so she can get her plot armor for this round.

Mimi team is stacked, she is together with the best singer and the most skilled contestant. I am guessing the advantage of two people team would be the speed of decision making, as well as the fact that judge attention would only be divided to two people instead of three.

I know our capital ship is the HMY MimiBuki heavy carrier, but there seems be people who think the RitsuMimi destroyer may carry enough firepower to sink the MimiBuki, but seems people are forgetting that under the surface of the sea the SuzuMimi submarine is lurking and it is the biggest interrogant now, who knows?, it may carry nuclear warheads and be capable of obliterate any competitor ship with one swift attack.
I love this comment more than anything haha this is amazing

What? Ritsu is actually serious towards Mimi? I thought all she did was just to tease Ibuki.
My thoughts as well, but I’m still leaning on her trying to play the role of “homewrecker“ for shits and giggles, though she does actually respect Mimi and wouldn’t mind being on the same team.

One thing I’m worried from this lineup is that I feel like the story’s going to focus on Tsumugi-Koyuki-Karin and Hitoe-Mimisuke-Anon teams as the “main” groups this arc, which isn’t necessarily bad but I feel like Urara-Michiru-Hibana team is going to get less focus which kinda sucks cause I think all of those characters could definitely use some more storytime to know them because out of the cast I’d say them (and Shiori) are the ones we know the least about.

Then again, this is just speculation so this could all be wrong.

I'm just happy that it feels like this time, everybody will get some more pages and nobody will be sitting out of the main competition. Honestly that was the most annoying part of the last arc, nearly a third of the cast was sitting it out.

Also writing in general, and music in particular, is a very introspective process, so there's a lot of potential to really dig into the characters more, find out what makes them tick, which is desperately needed for more than a few of the girls.

Also also, finally getting to the point where the show is airing means we'll get to see the pressure really start to get cranked up, there's no pressure like public pressure and I doubt we'll have those seeds of scandal we planted ages ago not sprout at the worst possible moment.

I'm still not convinced that the showrunners aren't keeping Mimi and Ibuki separated on purpose
I was convinced they're doing it on purpose back when they gave them matching costumes in the first round.
