well yes, but as i understand it, that was before she got her skill but she also hasn't actively tried to use scrolls for house building yet.
maybe if she sees or remembers a japanese house with paper screen walls she will get the idea to use scrolls as wall papers and her skill does the work for her.
besides, she needs to know at least the basics of how to achieve the task for her skill to properly automate it for her. so if she had decided to use scrolls before learning how to create them herself, the skill would either only use the available scrolls or not work for the task at all.
but now that she definitely can make scrolls, her skill should pick up on that and be able to assist her, if she approaches the problem with the right mindset.
afterall, her house building skill is clearly a conceptual skill.

On the other hand, her talismans are made using a different spell language allowing her to put it on a smaller medium, and activate it with less mana. They take up less space, use less mana, but they are still only one-time use.

though i don't think that changes any part of my comment, now does it?
regardless of the amount of mana and material needed and magical language involved, she should still be able to use the wallpaper logic to use her skill to craft them since she know how to craft them manually.

My point is, making them manually is what lets her make them smaller, these aren't the scrolls that the mage classes make with skills. Maybe she could cheat her skill and think about it as wallpaper, painting, or engraving patterns into the framing, but mass production of such a detailed item may introduce print errors.

print errors, huh, never thought about that.
though it looked to me as if her skill always does things very precise and effective, so i don't see how it would lead to that.
i mean, the other wood workers always admired how fast she did things and how she could cut lumber perfectly fitting without even measuring.
well, maybe the precision could decrease with the logical distance to the core concept of the skill but that still seems a bit off from what you mean.
and keep in mind her skill just got an upgrade through that spirit blessing.
