You know, I'm starting to notice that people who throw insults or defamation at someone tend to project their true selves onto them. So when a girl calls a guy an idiot in manga, they're really calling themselves an idiot ... which is true in a lot of cases, and this one is no exception.

The childhood friend is just as much of an idiot for not snagging MC earlier before a complicated arranged marriage took him away, as are many other losing childhood friends who took too long to make a move, and/or are just too toxic to them and not take accountability for their treatment towards them.

Because "Misunderstandings" are a key pillar of Japanese Light Novels/Manga. Without it, you've lost probably about 45 percent of plot narrative. And it sells, so it's simply a response to customer demand. Asking that to be changed in manga is like asking the sun not to rise the next morning. Studios gotta make bank. Let's face it, the majority of people reading this are doing so for escapism purposes. There's very few extremely popular manga that reflects real life and sells volume in the same way shoujo/seinen romantic comedies do.

I was contemplating dropping this off the basis of what you're getting at.

Like the entire setup is contrived sure but does author not realise that just being in the vicinity of someone for a decent amount of time is enough to build feelings perfectly naturally. Physical contact is perfectly normal, sharing feelings is normal, trying to understand someone is normal. Like as soon as they accept their feelings for each other and agree that they like each other this series has to end since the author has no idea what to do beyond that point.

This is completely lacking Reiwa energy.

Yeah they make excuses for physical with them and wasting time not confessing or saying misunderstanding things. They had plenty of chance though they clearly like him, they never took them

That's why they waste time like this it fills up chapter space with misunderstanding missed opportunity and harem who have 0 shot. This way the series can go longer.

Most aren't capable of writing something like dangers in my heart or angel next door. In the first they became couple and that was like 100 plus chapters ago, but still going strong. The other had them be a couple at end of fist story arc but haven't read beyond, heard gets better though.

I think most aren't able to do the sweetness vanilla feeling of after confession so they have to water time will they won't they but we all know the answer
