the intention is crossdress + cosplay, hence crossplay cuz i couldnt really fit crossdressing cosplay in certain situations. (long words are the bane of typesetting)

... I think you could have just said crossdressing. Also making up words is probably worse than using long ones (assuming you aren't Shakespeare)

I've personally seen the term "crossplaying" used for over twenty years. Hell, it even has a Wikipedia article.
