I mean, sometimes, it's better to leave people dead. Monkey's Paw and all that. That said, yeah...she's not dead.

I will say, the analogy of trying to attach fallen petals to the stem is a superb one that nails the futility of the act; even if you succeed by, say, tying it together with a string, the petal will still rot and remain dead.

Well... yeah, I agree, bringing the dead back is impossible... but Kohaku is just too unique of a case to not consider a few things.

Her body has not decayed even a little, sure... maybe it's just that her body is so strong that even after true death, it could maybe take years, even decades, for any sign of decay to come, if even.

But when you factor Cleo's own "resurrection"... there may be more to it.

Say fuck you back to the law of entropy.

''AHA! But what you don't know, high priestess, is that Kohaku revived me!'' ( right? i dont remember well but he died and kohaku revive him right? lol)
Mortally wounded but not completely dead.

And it took a century(?) for him to completely recover.

Even Kohaku had to take a whole fucking century to heal him from the damage he took... that is certainly considering that maybe healing magic isn't her forte... but the spell she used on him certainly was complex AF.

Since this is the first half of the chapter, presumably we'll get the next page in a couple weeks (break next week) and either Lux is gonna go "But she's not dead, so..." or Creo's gonna point out that he himself was brought back from the dead. Not sure which they'll go with, though.

Can someone refresh me? Is the great war is the one in Helck? So is been 200 years since Helck era?

Like others said, Kohaku revived Cleo. And I get the inkling from the conversation that it's going to be about how you word the question.

A successful method to revive the dead was never developed. BUT, was there a theory?

The high priestess looks like the one who got murked by Volundio early in the series.
Yep, same gal (unless she had a twin sister or something). We notably haven't seen her arms yet, but we saw one cut off at the time. She was impaled, too, but I guess that wasn't "dead means dead" yet.

Still hasn't ever been clearly stated. There are strong implications that Kohaku first met Creo around the late parts of, or shortly after, Helck's story, so we'd now be around 100 years after that. I don't think whatever happened here is something that was addressed in Helck, since it's such a distant part of the world, comparatively.
