This manga continues to impress me. A lot of the characters and situations are sort of generic and tropey, but the mangaka includes little twists and details that make them fresh and interesting - like the reveal that the childhood friend who scoffed at the whole idea of spirits could see Rinko all along.

Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

I was disappointed at first by the introduction of the classic romcom love triangle with the childhood friend, but the last few pages actually make it pretty interesting.

Am i the only one who thinks its kinda pointless for a ghost to try and be with a human. I know its manga and logic has no power here but like shes a ghost and no matter what she can never truly be with youhei even through possession or some other means unless shes not actually a ghost and it's gonna be one of those "out of body spirits while the body is in a coma" kinda developments. (kinda just skimmed through the manga cuz i was bored tho so if i missed something that explains this sorry ahead of time😜) also its not that i dislike ghost girl, just dont understand her romantic feelings is all

@kawaiidesune I mean understanding her romantic feelings is simple. lonely ghost girl has no one to talk to for a long time, some source of social interaction appears and the dude seems pretty friendly, plus works pretty hard to try to help her

though while the possibility of her falling in love with him is simple, am i forgetting something, or has there been like no hint in any previous chapter? we all knew it was coming but i dont remember those feelings ever being showcased before and now suddenly shes going all tentacle hair around this new girl like her feelings have been established for a while now....am i just forgetting something or is this out of the blue?

@dojinshi ngl since shes pretty much the first female youhei interacted with (that we saw) and as i said, i skimmed it and landed on this chapter where shes clearly being jealous, idk if it was sudden or has been built up but im going by the "first girl wins and childhood friend gets fucked over cuz shes passive" pattern of japanese manga love triangles(this childhood friend doesnt seem to be passive but my ptsd refuses to believe she has a good ending) and i have no idea how the author would work out a ghost girl romance ending if it isnt a coma development. aka I pretty much dont see how this is gonna end cuz we all know childhood friends lose unless shes the only option or its literally mentioned in the title....

Generally find this series kind of crappy, shockingly the introduction of a love triangle for once actually kind of spruces this up a bit given the rather unique context of it.

Even if he can't make ghost pregnant, they can probably still do IT. Just learn ghost touch technique from grandma.

Honestly, I died laughing at that flashback sequence. I was a bit nervous during the middle sections that this was going to turn into the generic love triangle, but those last few pages make the sequence really interesting to read.

If you go back and reread the scene at the table, there's a lot of really small lines and hints that she can see her and is being very passive-aggressive. She brings up the love story to essentially say "this is my man, lay off," and she very non-subtly tries to hide the fact that she saw the hair going crazy by jolting up and asking "what did you SEE to make you choke?" (Obviously projecting that she saw it but didn't want to acknowledge it) and tells him not to go "dying" on her. (Another jab at the ghost)

She then tries to change the subject so as to not to piss her off by talking about Umekichi, which ends up blowing up in her face, but she does get a jab in at the ghost girl, before quickly making her escape because she realizes if she stays, the situation is gonna get a lot worse.

It's some damn good writing in this chapter

@starburst98 touché i forgot about those even though i actually have read them (kana was one of my favorite reads too😞) but its still uncommon and both those manga were super unique reads so idk. there's already supernatural stuff so i guess anythings possible

@dojinshi I feel like it's a pinkie toe syndrome as far as her feelings go, where you forget/don't realize it's there until you hit it on a coffee table or something. This is the first person that feels like they could really get between them, and it triggered things.
