honestly it's not even that bad.....it's not like you have to die or cut off your body parts. it's just a class of people that will see something embarrassing but you probably won't even see those people after you graduate. the stakes don't seem high to me

@owlette You’re also talking about a country where you can be arrested for posting a picture of yourself with a body tattoo. You’re overlooking what the Japanese people view as culturally acceptable and what isn’t and how they believe these things would affect their social status. Take for example of Jennifer Lawrence. Got her private pics leaked and went on with her life. Aya Hirano got her private pics leaked and was fired. Went from Haruhi Suzumiya to god knows because it was a long time where she got nothing but dreck for jobs. You and I agree it’s all nothing especially sending your loved one some sexy vids/pics but Japan is incredibly conservative and dated in their views. Frankly even outside of Japan people are still pretty vain and judgmental.
