@Syanindita Yes, schools in my country follow the same pattern as Japan - you spend the entire year with the same class. We don't move to other classrooms with different students who chose different subjects, like in USA, we study every single subject there is (which, now that I'm an adult, I believe is the best system out there). And since we don't have to move to other classes, it's the teachers that come to us, not the other way around.
Frankly, I think system is better than what USA applies. The problem is that I made a mistake when choosing my school. Instead of accepting the fact there were other choices, 12 years old me just wanted to go to the first school I saw due to some immature bias I had at the time. I don't know, maybe it was fear of choice. I didn't make the same mistake when I moved to high school (14), though, and I was able to have a decent social life there.
