Shame the goddesses didn't give him a bit of skill even if not any op cheats but at least he's fairly reasonable/logical about not biting off more than he can chew hunting wise (tho i suppose since ppl aren't aware of 'levels' without praying , i suppose he could form the party and ask to get the last hit in)

He could use the shrine maiden communication power he got and try to ask a goddess how to use fire magic. One would imagine he has tried to use existing fire to stimulate it, but it seems like he got no results, since he's not using fire magic. Other than that, since the goddesses noted they can't give him any classes or blessings, it might also apply to skill levels or maybe they just didn't think about it because they would normally never do it. They could give the communication power, though, so they aren't utterly powerless to affect the MC's status.
