A very odd series in that, as time goes on, we see more and more flaws of the protagonist as he gains wealth and power, in a way that feels believable and consistent yet weirdly not really addressed by the narrative.

It's not like he becomes an evil edgelord or anything. More like a boisterous but exasperating CEO, who doesn't spend much time anymore thinking about what makes the people around him happy because he thinks he can solve it with money and grand gestures.
