I could see this being a fun series, but it could just as easily be horribly cliche.
It's essentially just a "my family disregarded me, until I left, then they realised how great I was" series, which has been in a hundred different ways - though they're usually enjoyable, so long as they focus on the comeuppance of the abusive family, and less on what wasn't the hook of the series (the MC falling in love for example).

Is "Devastating Confinement" another one of those tags that's somehow become its own hyperspecific genre? Like "Childcare" and "Scenario Deviation"?

Sorta? I mean, even before seeing this, I remember at least one about a woman transmigrated into a villainess locked in a tower, the comedic one where the villainess actually planned to get locked up, and had prepared a bunch of goods in the cell, all in the name of zamaa...

...So it wouldn't surprise me that there'd be a theme of "In the lockup for life."

Of course, in both those, and presumably this one too, they get out of jail eventually.
