I don't understand the female MC's reasoning. In the previous chapter, she just told her best friend that it only depends on you two regardless of what others think, and yet she doesn't listen to her own advice. Also, her father is being a POS by essentially blackmailing his daughter using worse tactics than what the emperor used on them. I don't care what his reason was, but to blame the emperor as if he had been tortured every day in prison was too much. How on earth could neither father and daughter not see the emperor's genuineness when he sent his personal guards to protect her father in prison and sent her in a faraway mansion with guards for protection? I mean anyone with half a brain can put two and two together to come up to the conclusion that he has been trying his best to protect the two of them.
