I think the author needed a reason for her to be "different" than all his other, more temporary, targets so that he'd want to keep her around forever instead of getting bored after a year or whateverI feel like the madness gimmick could've been used for someone else? Maybe I'm just jaded with these stories but it just felt out of nowhere, unnecessary.
This makes more sense than "let's make the handsome man even more unique/quirky then solve it permanently in the very next chapter so it impacts nothing" thanksI think the author needed a reason for her to be "different" than all his other, more temporary, targets so that he'd want to keep her around forever instead of getting bored after a year or whatever
It was mentioned in an earlier chapter so its not exactly unexpected.I feel like the madness gimmick could've been used for someone else? Maybe I'm just jaded with these stories but it just felt out of nowhere, unnecessary.
