Incest is one thing, but plotting to kill school kids takes it from perv to psycho. Sorry Lene, it's time for prison.
You, ah, do realize that they were going to be killed if they refused, right? Nothing psycho about having to do awful things because you and your loved one will die if you don't. I heard complaints like this in the light novel as well, some people just don't have any reading comprehension.

Fundamentally disagree with you. They had plenty of options. They could fight back, they could appeal to an outside authority for help, they could pretend to do the plan and sabotage it, they could run away, etc. Even the worst option you've provided "get killed instead" is a trolley problem: letting many children die or sacrificing themselves. The fact is they chose to commit multiple murders so they could get an incest pass.

At worst, you can call them cowards. Calling him a psycho is utterly retarded. This strategy is used a lot, in fiction and reality, because it works a lot, on normal fucking people. People will not think straight when threatened, especially by some powerful conspiracy that spreads who knows how far. Most normal peopled cowed into submission by a shadowy organization that could have spies anywhere (especially in a world with magic, who knows what kind of surveillance spells they could be using) are just going to do whatever they say, and hope they make it out alive, especially when their loved ones are also on the line.

And they have no reason to think they could do any good, since for all they know if they tried to fly the coop and warn anyone about it the conspiracy will just disappear them and continue on with their plans with only small adjustments needed, getting them killed for no benefit. And if they try to sabotage the plan, well, they're wagering the deception and espionage skills of a shadowy conspiracy quite possibly monitoring their every step against that of a pair of servants. Doesn't seem like a good idea. Maybe that's not true, maybe that's an overestimation of the conspiracy, but it's easy to overestimate someone when they have a gun to your head, and your loved one's head as well.

Terror makes fools of us all. In the cold light of day, we can say from our high horses that maybe he should have laid down his life, and that of his loved one, to maybe stop their plans, and possibly just inconvenience them. But could you make that decision, in those circumstances? Maybe you could. If so, you should perhaps be lauded for that. But most people aren't ready to make martyrs of themselves, let alone their lover and family. That is not psychosis, that is life.

Why must they that not be ready to make martyrs but be ready to mass murder? I think your perspective is skewed because you wanna play devils advocate but truth be told these two are murderers. There’s no justification for anything they’ve done to this point not even the pale in comparison incestuous relationship which is also just… well, ugh. All that for a measly future on the basis of some random enemy? The fact that they probably made this deal with them for just that is stupid.

All in all there is no justification, they are murders of self gain with remorse only because they were caught. They would’ve happily lived it up if it went accordingly or if that masked man even kept his word, then it would’ve been useless

You're absolutely delusional and in self denial if you think you, yourself, as well as the majority of normal people wouldn't choose to protect themselves and their loved ones over strangers when threatened.

Man I'm so disappointed at Lene. I fucking love her so much and her interactions are so cute and now she's fucking in love with her own brother? What an L. Now I don't even want to see her again or even his brother

I started rereading this because I'd forgotten why I dropped it.

I now remember I dropped it because of the "start a massacre so I can fuck my sibling" plotline.

didn't expect to see a reference about the Borgias in a seemingly innocent and light-hearted isekai romance manga...
