Considering how much Rania's male self showing up in the past couple chapters makes me wonder if there'll be a flip soon or something. Or maybe they just wanted to remind everyone this is a genderbend story.

Sucks to be hero man but that's why you don't piss off the heavy artillery.

Well, that's kinda what happens when you kick off the party the only guy that even UNDERSTANDS what one of the big enemies is even doing.
How are you going to fight magical bullshit without magical bullshit of your own?
But oh well, those girls, on their unending pride and self-absorption, will probably keep insisting that they don't need him, and the Hero, as the simp he is, will simply go with what they say.

I know part of the story is that the heroes party sucks without Rania it don't they have like some sort of military structure?

Like why didn't they send them a squad of images or something similar to compensate for the reduction in force? Sure the her might be an idiot but some upper military strategist should have probably caught that by now.

The heroes have been fighting with the army and presumably mages in that army. Bottom of chapter has a dozen or so other bodies in that shot. From the looks of it, the hero's party is decently strong and way more so than any one else they have but MC is even further past them

So the hero's party finally reaps what they've sown. I appreciate that it's taken this long, stewing in the background while other stuff has been the focus. A lot of stories rush to the comeuppance, killing off the party that abandons the MC very early, but I feel that trivializes how the abandonment was supposed to be a big enough deal to start telling the story from there—like, if they were just a bunch of jobbers, good riddance I guess? But here, it's been pretty well established that the hero's party is competent and that the world relies on them while also getting to see more of their arrogance, so it just feels all the more significant now.

Welp…the hero party died. Probably. Maybe? Wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow survived.

Honestly I just want more of our MC coming up with more crazy stuff for the students to take on.
nah, with a plot line like this expect them to be like cockroaches. you think they're dead but they still holding on to a sliver of life because some plot armour bs

I assume half the point of MC training up these students is that they're gonna run across this battlefield next chapter and Lark is gonna handle it on his own or something and it'll be so gratifying
