also, the real question is....
Is this actually an improvement or is it worse now ?

But Its hard to tell with how... similar they are now, just a little more fanatically devoted to the MC.
Overall, if this an improvement, that is kind of rare outside of when people are actually friendly.

The only thing I noticed is the number of women seemed to increase as they were being untied. I counted at least 4.

And Mr. Lin has unintentionally created an eldritch cult. I can see them splintering off from the Council of Truth. If Mr. Lin gives that boy any books to read, I can see that boy becoming more of a menace.
