i think you are wrong, but im not 100% sure. i theorize that the divine energy of the sun simply feeds off the divine energy of this false moon. it consumes and converts it into fuel. it very easily burns the energy of every member of the dome church; but in that instance as an offense wildfire. For vincent, his internals have become this divine energy. I believe that the application of divine energy in that fashion (not as a spell designed to inflict damage, but as a stream of pure energy) simply fed his new regeneration. This isn’t normal healing: his body is burning new skin. Its not human. The old man also visibly shakes and is struggling, though this could be from seeing vincent in such a state.

I also disagree that he is following the true moon. He mentions 4 core tenants: one of which is secrecy. He is a firm believer that they must fear and avoid the moon. If he were to follow the true moon, as Lady Walpurgis mentioned prior, “it would not fear the gaze of its followers.” He has altruistic intentions and noble heart, but he is absolutely a follower of whatever moon the dome church worships. Also, The Moon has been dead for a long time (whatever that means) and until Moon either finds a new The Moon or becomes The Moon, I don’t see that belief as having any divine energy.

For those reasons, i think this healing procedure could have been done by any dome church clergy and yielded similar results.
