Now I feel sorry for the dad. His daughter clearly stupidly chose a profession that usually ends in going insane and having to be put down. Showing her untainted younger self, it's clear that hunters voluntarily mutate themselves with tainted blood and the ears changing from human to beast-like is a painful and disgusting reminder of how his daughter is probably going to die having given her too much autonomy without enough guidance.

He even assigned two bodyguards for her that promptly died like bitches. Makes her look like some idiot rich girl rebelling in the worst possible way, taking down people around her with the poor choices she makes. Clearly her dad is no saint, but at least holding out some hope that he can prevent her death.
