It has the power to make damn horrifying gods that could end reality if it woke up submit and sleep, maybe it isn't the trumpets and flutes keeping Yog asleep but the simple whim of a THInG who watches over all and has yet to play Yog as it's chest piece, chest probably doesn't even exist for it as it's the only player in its realm that's how terrifying inky his companion is in a sense.

Eldritch gods are an old fad for old people. They hold no real existential terror any longer with the mainstream topics of the horror genres of today. It looks more like he's asking him to overcome his own existential fears and maintain his own self while not giving into the needless insanity troupe that pollutes Lovecraftian fiction trying to point out the inherent meaningless of man's perception of reality. Don't let the meaningless and unexplained crap that eldritch horror never fully describes create doubt, yet use it to the extent of your current limitations.

I've seen the same thing over and over about the uncaring universe/realms/existence full of beings who don't care if you exist or not. Don't let your mind be consumed by crap that was created to be inherently be unknowable. Understand what you are able to at the time you're are able to understand it without fear and grow accordingly.
