I really realllyyyy want to facepalm. Why is this an issue? Just be honest and say you didn't wash your hair? This kind of misunderstanding is really really unnecessary.

I too, have had a guy who liked me try to get closer & hug me when I didn't wash my hair. It is the most guilty & unexplainable feeling. To this day I still pray he didn't notice.

Hang in there, Maise

Thanks ror the update. I mean, its probably because I'm a guy (eh, gay) but I don't fully get Maise's hair dilemma. I mean, especially during this pandemic (and especially if your country is one of the worst performing countries) that I actually give myself a one day gap not to bathe at all to save on water bills. I'd honestly be worried more on body odor but then again, I haven't been in her specific situation so my opinion doesn't really matter

I’m a girl but I really don’t think its a big deal at all..... isnt it perfectly normal that you dont wash your hair everyday??😑 i can tell the author wants to create a misunderstanding situation but this reason is just way too dumb and unrelatable😶

If you don't trust someone enough to tell them that you didn't wash your hair today, you probably don't trust them enough to be in a relationship with them? IMO

I sort of get where she's coming from. When you're just starting to like someone you can be a bit hesitant to let them witness or know about the more "dirty" aspects of your life. I once rushed the end of a very nice date because I really needed to go to the bathroom, but I didn't want to tell the guy that. So I held it in as long as I could and then essentially suddenly said good bye and ran away when I couldn't stand it any more. In my defence I had been drinking, and while that's meant to lower inhibitions in this case I was just stuck on not telling him why I needed to step out for a sec. Sober I think I would have just swallowed that little bit of prudishness so the date could go on.
Honestly considering that she considers Yse a friend and two days isn't that long for not washing hair, I still think she's exaggerating a bit even if she has been obsessively maintaining Maise's image. But I do understand the feeling a bit.

Different hair has different needs people, I’ll admit there was a time where if I didn’t scrub down my hair every day in the shower it would become a greedy mess and it became a big week point for me: I’d wear allot of hats and almost exclusively braid it to hide it since I’d often oversleep and not have time to wash it in the morning be fore school. I Siriusly get where she is coming from.

Wow, am I the only one who only washes their hair once a week? Usually if you have really long hair washing your hair is a big production and it takes hours to dry. Just dry brush it once or twice a day with a natural brush like boars hair to redistribute the natural oils from top to bottom. Modern shampoos are way too harsh and strip your hair of it's natural oils and that's why they sell conditioners to artificially replace the oils you stripped off. It's all marketing scheme to sell twice the product instead of fixing the defective product your making.

@HiAndHello Well, I do get your point, (different folks have different hair needs)but my hair is about as long as hers, so I was thinking it would take the same care regimen...

@Mojo I wash my hair once or twice a week. The author is Korean though, and from what I've seen/heard it's not uncommon for Korean women to wash their hair everyday. And, I mean, if you wash it often the hair will get used to it and become dirty quicker.

@Mojo Yep, I only wash my hair once or twice a week too. It's around the third day that my hair starts to feel silky again and maybe the fifth-sixth day that it starts to feel a little greasy!

Washing your hair everyday is a great way to ruin it. This is a very silly excuse for a drama between them too.

I guess it's because the author is Korean. With my race and skin type, it's normal to wash my hair every other day.
