I laughed so hard at him panicking because of an eppendorf tube in the heat block.
1) you don’t mess with other people’s experiments. If you’re not sure, you ask the person responsible for the experiment, since protocols vary depending on so many things. Of course if a machine’s alarm is sounding or the freezer is defrosting you do something about that yourself, but you don’t mess with other people’s experiments unless they ask you do something.
2) it’s a biology lab. Nothing explodes. And he’s an idiot for not noticing that the Petri dish was chipped. But then again, latex gloves. And, of course, he shouldn’t have just taken someone else’s cells just to take a look at them under the microscope! So rude!
3) why tf did he add 10x pbs to the cells?! Of course they’re going to act weird! Just leave them n the liquid they were in, maybe the experimental goal was to see how they would act in that specific medium and you just f-Ed that up
Rant not really over, but I’m tired of typing. At least they made the lab LOOK realistic
