The problem is that the father basically sent him out his own home to live on his own in hopes of enforcing his own vision of masculinity on him.

My personal version of masculinity is not just stoic and chiseled, but rather is much more personal to what I believe makes a good man, key among those things being kindness, being able to be emotionally open, in my eyes a man doesn't need to be cold and closed off to be a man but there are those that believe that is the case, his father is trying to impose a narrow view of what masculinity is, despite by most likely being able to have more rizz than his dad ever had in his life.

Like he must be doing something right to be considered an attractive and desirable partner for multiple women
