A lot of other lighthearted slice of life mangas out there also has drama and shit. Like 100 girlfriends, Sket Dance, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Saenai Kanojo no Sodatekata, etc. but they handle the dynamic well. Even if you didn't know there was gonna be drama there, that's fine. They don't slap you in the face when it happens. It's either gently given to you, was not a balls deep drama like this one, was foreshadowed long before, etc. Bottom line is: the way they handled their drama with their comedy did not feel like a betrayal of expectations. And, in a lot of cases, the dynamic actually enhanced the story rather than tear it apart. No matter what anyone says, the author just did not handle the switch with any grace. He's just bad.

Here after ch 46, just binged read this so i can just vent here.

You've got to be kidding me, Aya has got like the most backstory asspull out of a traumatized character. Her family situation, she feels lonely/hopeless so she be attention farming on the streets (sometimes yuu, hikari or some random douches in a random chapter). Are the 2 MCs the one to blame because they gave her some kind of hope (fuck no).

Honestly she has been given so many chances to go therapy or become self destructive and end her suffering. She's lost in her own mind, pushing people away because she thinks normal people wouldn't get it/don't want to involve them. But with the 2 MCs it's an exception, she actually has a chance to seek help. Of course she chokes her 3-0 lead, gives everyone a heart attack including her.

Everytime she just be hiding shit, she knows Light and Yuu are strong, kind-hearted people. Instead she get jealous because they have each other's back, having whole ass monologues about revenge life wolrd destruction (dogshit). She ain't do nothing but step back.

Atleast Majin Vegeta realized he fucked up, midlife crisis kinda bad huh, gave up his ego and blew up to atone.

I just love the author interesting decisions to justify her horny moments, escapism and utter nonsenses. Ok art adaptation is good tho shoving that many speech bubbles and honestly it's fine. End of crashout

Read 45.5 - yeah this is just a fetish manga now. I'm so mad because the art is great, I love the main story, but this twist~~~ is horrible. Maybe the mangaka also has a fetish for blue-balling the readers idk because I just want the story to go back to ML and FL but nah we gotta have a side chapter for the side girl to do nothing except touch herself in the bath kk 👍
