thank you for translaiton
Totally unrelated. But I relate to that aspect in some way. When I was a neet (for like 6 months post graduation), I used to flip a coin to determine if I'd do something that day. It's a way of offloading the responsibility of an action/inaction. You know it's illogical and silly, but it makes it easier in the moment.Lul. 18 year old decided to play stupid games, got scared when she hit 9 heads in a row because that would mean the "universe" is forcing her to talk to Hikari so she gave up and kept playing until she hit 10 tails in a row so she could run back to Yuu.
Imagine being an adult and not actually fully deciding what you want to do and instead spend weeks/months flipping coins until you finally "get permission" to do what you wanted to do in the first place.
Like holy shit just own up to something for once.
Asking Hikari to help him reach out to Aya is a step in that direction b/c I feel like it's maybe the first truly proactive thing he's done for Aya.guy needs to get his shit together too.
Reaching out to Yuu were 10 tails in a row, so it had the same chances, both incredible unlikely. That was the point, she set impossible odds for reaching out to Hikari so she could take the easier and more desirable to her out of reaching out to Yuu.
Yeah I see it as mainly just because he cares about her it was made evident he still cares about Yami so I don't think it's inherently for romantic reasons he wanted to reach outHikari is the mc - I think the other reason Aya calls Yuu first is so that the final showdown is between Hikari and Aya.
Also maybe I interpreted wrong and Yuu just wants to reach out to her b/c he cares about her as a person,
I definitely think at the very least he has probably has some unresolved feelingsbut his last convo w/ Hikari strongly suggested he had lingering feelings for Aya.
She thought up the Hikari one first & she legit stops herself when she gets to 9 in a row heads. It's not even clear if she gets 10 in a row before she calls Yuu, but she also straight up rigged the decision when she stopped at 9 heads.Reaching out to Yuu were 10 tails in a row, so it had the same chances, both incredible unlikely.
I think maybe implied romantic b/c it's Christmas, but also maybe that's Aya's hope (cause she's talking about being reunited with the guy she loves) and this is gonna crash and burn. 🤷♀️so I don't think it's inherently for romantic reasons he wanted to reach out
It's not really clear in the manga but the chapter of the novel goes into more detail where she kept trying to get 10 tails in a row to contact Yuu and then shows her contacting him, implying she finally got 10 tails in a row after weeks/months.She thought up the Hikari one first & she legit stops herself when she gets to 9 in a row heads. It's not even clear if she gets 10 in a row before she calls Yuu, but she also straight up rigged the decision when she stopped at 9 heads.
but she got to 9/10 heads and stopped, no? Did I misread that?Reaching out to Yuu were 10 tails in a row, so it had the same chances, both incredible unlikely.
You're correct. The chapter in the novel goes into way more detail about her heads/tails escapades but essentially she decides 10 heads in a row means she calls Hikari or 10 tails in a row means she calls Yuu. After several days/weeks she gets to 9 heads in a row and purposefully stops because she doesn't actually want to call Hikari, she wants to call Yuu. She spends the rest of the weeks/months (in the novel she starts the whole game in early autumn and doesn't contact Yuu until Christmas) playing until she eventually hits 10 tails in a row (never mentioned or shown but since she's calling Yuu you can use logic to infer she hit her goal).but she got to 9/10 heads and stopped, no? Did I misread that?
So... What happens to Hikari now?
