Yeah I'm kinda weird about this too since I also "couldn't accept it" in their case. But for some reason this whole setting just fails for me. Why the hell would it be "expected" of her to have multiple husbands? Like sure if a KING has a harem he can get 1 heir a year for each woman he has, but if the girl has 5 husbands its still just 1 brat / year.
If the woman is in a power position in this world it's still kinda weird as they have to be vulnerable and out of commission for 9 months to get a child... so if the woman is the primary breadwinner how the hell do they have stay at home dads when the woman has to carry the child?

There is a reason why social norms were as they were in the past and I don't think "muh magic muscle" is enough explanation for the setting. Still really enjoyable just odd to wrap my head around.
