Mc's favorability keeps dropping each chapter. Idk where the author is going to take the story to but it just isn't as exciting as in the beginning 😔

MC keeps trying to negotiate, but he keeps getting owned. She makes a mockery of him every time, makes him look stupid. Then he sits down and plays with his phone thinking "other people" will bail him out.......

Its like he messed with people he had no chance of taking on??. Cant you just switch on plan B and beat there asses down or something, I mean its pretty obvious you going to have to beat them down if they make a mockery of your terms. This all started with his stupid sister and some stupid sissy boy.

he can't really cultivate does he ? So he will stay weak for a long time for at least 15- 20chapters?

I'm not saying this is a good manhua. It's pretty much average stuff to occupy some time. So I'm not exactly defending it.

But I don't get why people want the guy to " just become stronger quickly". That's not how chinese manhua works. In just about every manhua out there about cultivation, it takes YEARS for the character to become strong. As in, multiple years.

This is mostly a harem manhua, that said it's been only a few weeks since the beginning of the story. How do you expect him to magically become stronger and start to kick ass?

@Nehona I don't think anyone is expecting him to suddenly get stronger like that. I think people at the very least want to start seeing improvement on his part and for him to stop getting whipped around all the time. Seriously, he focuses on all this other crap instead of getting off his ass and actually training. You've got to admit that it's frustrating seeing this guy who was actually kicking ass at first, be reduced to some wuss

Thanks for the chapter!
Agree with MC, seems odd Ming Xie is just a mayor if not only had ties with the Empress, but was a strong fighting pair with her. Something must have happened for her to be lying low. Although could be just wanted time to spend with family (although considering her personality doubt it.) I was wondering why he knocked out the daughter, but wanting an ace in the hole explains it. Seems too confident that they won't find her to have just stashed her somewhere nearby unless he's able to put living things in his hammerspace (item box, pocket dimension, or whatever you want to call it.) Although the usual template is whether or not have infinite storage or limited space, time frozen or continues as normal the user can't put living things in it. In any case, MC definitely underestimated Ming Xie as just another desk bound politician considering how powerful a fighter she is and is smart enough to see through his strategies to corner her. Really irritating how it seems that the old adage about "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" seems to really apply to the high ranked cultivators. Except for Tang's aunt, all the high rank cultivators seemed to have forgotten about self-discipline and feel that just because they're so powerful everyone else are ants they can step on as they please and objecting to their selfish desires is an affront to their vestiges of honor that demands death. Like Ming Xie, he keeps trying to negotiate and talk and she keeps smacking him around physically and wanting to kill someone with a big smile knowing he isn't strong enough to stop her. Granted MC's sis shouldn't have slept with Xie's son so quickly, but they do seem to care for each other and it's not like there's any physical evidence showing the boy lost his virginity so why wasn't beating her up and telling her to stay away from him enough or offering x amount of money to break up and instead requires her to die?

@Nehona Usually takes years to advance the ranks of cultivation the first time. He's already cultivated to a high class after studying for 300 years so he has a better idea of what does and doesn't work which should help speed things up. The problem he's having is his body reverted to that of his normal 17 year old self so while his cultivation is top notch he needs to get it in sync with his current weaker body.

@Ddog123 "You've got to admit that it's frustrating seeing this guy who was actually kicking ass at first, be reduced to some wuss."

So what if it's frustrating? How can you criticize the work for at least trying to be a bit realistic? Things turned out as they should have in the real life. You can't defeat someone at Lv.100 when you're only Lv.50, under a strict power level restriction system. There is a limit to being unreasonable, so it's advisable for you not to get ahead of yourself.

If you were a Great Business man in your previous life, does that mean you'll be a billionaire if you were reborn, within the period of a few months? Get real. You need enough time for accumulation, connections, preparations, etc. to get anywhere close to that.
You won't be richer than Bill Gates after a few weeks since your birth, no matter how hard you try, right? Do we really need to tell you something so basic?

@Trosfy Maybe this wouldn't be as frustrating if he was actually trying to get stronger? Have you considered that? The guy hasn't been doing shit to get stronger these days and he's just been constantly getting pushed around. If he was actually trying his best and working hard, then maybe people wouldn't be getting so annoyed by this nonsense. Do we really need to tell you something so basic?

@Ddog123 If the author doesn't want to do a time-skip, because logically the world wouldn't wait for the MC to get stronger before trouble comes knocking on his door, you'd still see the MC getting defeated again and again, no matter how hard he tries to get stronger (he needs to spend enough time to surpass those who are way stronger than him, after all).

And once the readers see him getting defeated over and over again, despite all his efforts, I can say with certainty that most of the people complaining about him at this point would be still criticizing him in one way or another (they might feel even more frustrated than they do at this point, due to the MC's efforts yielding no positive results); because the biggest issue for them isn't him not trying hard enough (it's more of a convenient excuse to justify their complains), it's actually him getting defeated (repeatedly). If you read enough series (that have action) and go through their comment section, you'd come to realize that 'weak MCs' (or MCs that lose to antagonists/their opponents) are generally disliked by many readers (because of obvious reasons that need not be mentioned).
