@SirBlaming—
You have already given them your email the moment you registered.
And I registered exactly and only to vote.
Pay attention and
think.
If you're getting spam from them, it's probably because you didn't opt out of their emailing program, and should probably do.
I cannot opt out of the e.mailing program because I cannot get to that choice. I registered by way of Facebook. That installed their app and handed my email address to them. I thereafter got the blank screen. I cannot login to vote; I cannot login to change my account settings.
(I can create a new e.mail account, and change my Facebook account to use that. But most people gave their principal email addresses to Facebook, and cannot create or discard addresses as easily as I can.)
I not really sure why you're so adamant on recommending that nobody vote
I'm not recommending that no one vote. Again,
pay attention and
think. I'm recommending that no one
attempt to vote because, in registering, they must surrender their e.mail address, and then the promise of a vote may not be kept.
it's an obviously painless and pretty fast
It's neither fast nor painless when, instead of getting the option to vote, one gets a blank page.
Stop demanding that I quietly let people be tricked into surrendering their email addresses.
