wow, oyasumi punpun has some competition. this manga is a lot more typical, not really postmodern like punpun, but i'd say it's almost as good, and just as effective as punpun is. i'm glad at least it had a happy ending, but jesus christ everything in it was so horrific. and i'm happy it had a good outlook on precocious crushes, the mindset of kids, etc. everything was handled with depth and poise. no real exploitation, at least not to me. and it didn't feel like it wrung out unnecessary edginess, all of it was realistic. as fucked as it is, it is very real and there is no doubt that a case like this can and possibly has happened. 9/10 for sure.
