masaru's freakin hilarious and clever, but the star this time might be lancelot, going into it i thought he had no chance but that was a pretty good fight and hell if masaru hadnt pulled a "hey i can go scorched earth on us, i'll probably live, will you?" he'd likely have won this time. . . plus lancelot was developing his instinct and reaction speed even more as the fight went. i half expected a funny waste of time but they're actively making each other stronger. was a good bro moment.

I'm not sure this counts as a duel anymore, plus mc stepped out of the arena when he jumped onto the wall. Oh well

Leaving the arena should be grounds for disqualification. Standing on the wall of the arena (audience area) should make him the loser. Any long distance attack at the MC means a miss will go right into the audience seats which are directly behind the MC when he stands on the audience area wall.
Another thing about these duels is that they are using death-type attacks where failure means the target dies. The author can do this as he will refuse to write that either character dies. But if the characters were genuinely in a realistic story, this kind of duel should be completely forbidden as either character should not be killed. Thus, this type of duel with deadly attacks makes the story plotting look artificial and fake. It cheapens the story, but perhaps the author is self-inserting and thus looks for ways to boost the character's ego and prowess. Ugh
