Gotta say I liked Den-san just like being a good friend to Rutsu, dude just loved his child and his wife and was a good friend.

Also, interesting that a manga from 2000 is exploring having a disconnect between sexual and romantic attractions, as Rutsu is evidently bisexual but only romantically attracted to women (homoromantic), don't think this matter is really explored in basically any yuri manga.

Convenient.
Honestly, "convenient" is the only word that comes to mind when describing her "relationship": she is just using them, discarding them when she is done. All while acting the victim.

Surprised that Tamaki fall for it a second time, but probably the author just wanted a lesbian happy ending and the guy existed only due to her editor request...

I liked the story, but I hate Rutsu's character with a passion.
