It kind of annoys me how everybody's so inhuman in these dire times. I'd think that the firefighters who pride themselves as public servants would do their best to save children.
It kind of annoys me how everybody's so inhuman in these dire times. I'd think that the firefighters who pride themselves as public servants would do their best to save children.
It's anything but inhumane. Firefighters are limited. There's only so many of them. There's even more people needing rescue all over the town. If they keep trading one or two firefighters for 2 or 3 people, they will run out after 20 people saved or so. That means the extent of it. Firefighters are probably one the most important lives in the story right now aside from doctors, psychologists, and researchers. One firefighter has the potential to save many more lives if they simply play it safe. Cruel as it is, it's even more cruel if you think trading one's life who can save 20 or 50 more down the road for one or two relatives is 'fair'.
