He's definitely alive still, no way would the unarmed man be shot before the guy with a fucking shotgun. His bursts of emotions are suspicious as well. Helmet isn't a carrier but more than likely an accomplice with whoever the fuck this survivor was. Acts like a brainless carrier but knows how to use a gun, aims and kills someone, then retreats as if he knew how to count his bullets as well as being cautious? I don't buy it.
