How light bounces off of clothes and highlights various parts of complexion and whatnot
Literally the eyes don't really mean shit, or they do, but only if you care to accentuate your eyes lol
And without an eye for color as hues and shades, as well as skin as hues and shades, def can be hard to parse thru... hence the tool itself being so jargon heavy to justify basically gatekeeping light and color knowledge via idk, consultancy fees
The quick an dirty: depending on what features of esp your face you wanna accentuate or hide, wear different mixes of clothes in different lighting contexts so that the reflected light from the clothes can hide or accentuate the features
Think of the clothes as greyscale, the more white the more it reflects light, and from that usually shows more features of the face
And the color part comes into play as what components of skin shade get brightened, be it melanin, blood vessels, stubble/facial hair, even contours
And yeh... got hella more stylish on my own without shilling out hundreds to some influencer mfer to get words about my skin that are imcomprehensible tbh so that then you'd hafta go with their fekkin clothing subscription plan ughhhhh

Also this manga got me to retake my meyers briggs and get the third set of different 5 letters than the first two times XD
honestly? The only quiz on personality I give any sorta weight is the mfing BDSM test XDXDXD
And even then it's imperfect lol
(Maybe some psych assessments for certain DSM mental conditions, but also any actually good psych knows to treat it as just one data point, compared to the many from just... working with a client of psychiatric services directly XD
Love that the outdated realm of Freudian psychology and other psych quackeries... has taken a strong hold in pop psych quackery XD the grifters in the psych space really REALLY didn't like that their studies were shown to be fully bunk during the replication crisis back in the 2010's if I recall lol)
