Really shows how deluded antionette is that giving up her nobility to basically just being a rich commoner so she could save the life of herself and her children is equivelant in her fantasy land to killing one of her own friends. So she doesnt drink the water purposefully killing her self and abandoning her children because she didn't want to let go of her selfish imaginary world and actually live in reality.
