I should've been surprised... but grandma literally married her nephew, so her being done by her son is not all that surprising anymore xD

But damn, the imagery is amazing. Jean being executed, brutally pulverized for just existing, his shattered head put next to serial rapists and murderers.

I kinda like the practicality Sansons show though. Father's already getting older, had his first stroke not too long ago and Charles-Henri is the future. He stepped into the fire like nobody's business, took the blame and grandma immediately helped him buy the officials off as well. They run this family as a business, shrewd but entertaining thing.
