Yeah, all that talk of "my friend, my dear old friend" and mofo didn't even flinch to pedofy all over his "friend's" little daughter. How can he do that to a person, a child, and even be like "oh I'm so honored". The guillotine be praised.

I agree, ALTHOUGH it was probably - sadly so - "normal" at the time, at the very least between those VERY poor and those VERY rich.

And let's not act as if anybody among Sansons - aside from Charles-Henri - gave a fck about Marie's wellbeing. Bastards.

I'm excited to see this big bro - lil sis tag-team. I still feel like Marie can just as well snap at Charles, just because she's a sociopath (well, seems to be), but him trusting her enough to blatantly spit at tradition together warms my heart a bit. And let's not act innocent (no pun intended) - we love some good savage killers in our stories.

Marie, my gal, MAIM THIS DUDE! She's growing a silver tongue alike her brother. It's also a great ploy - shifting the rules a bit, just to "pay tribute to the vikings", which makes it more satisfying and more brutal... without breaking any rules. Griffin is breaking them, only his actions lead to more injuries than necessary and that's GREAT for Sansons' good name.

Also, seems like Sakamoto's idea to show Marie-Joseph and Marie-Antoinette's lives alongside each other is here to stay. I like it a lot, as they're the opposite ends of a spectrum, while both being irreversibly bound to the era they live in, to France itself.
