That cover is just on the very very edge of uncanny valley. Just a little more detail and it would be hideous. It's honestly amazing.

@Hachi015 Such as? As far as my analysis goes the whole thing was pretty naive and ended on an unrealistically happy note given the circumstances.

@criver such as? kids who slaves away their life at an early age, kids who turned into stealing things cause they cant stomach how said works are taxing. Its her debut work so you can see the lack of research on said matter but why did you say that it "ended on an unrealistically happy note given the circumstances."?

There are multiple points where this could have gone wrong, but instead an unrealistically light resolution was chosen.

Right off the bat you have a young exotic woman travelling alone in a foreign land - I suppose I don't have to tell you what could go wrong in this scenario.
Laila learns to dance like a ballerina over the period of (what I can only assume are) several weeks, when it takes other people years.
Somehow the establishment she works at doesn't have bouncers, as evident by a customer being able to beat the girls working there. An establishment relying on the "beauty" of its workers to turn a profit will never allow this. Which implies this was just put in for artificial drama (that is not to say the same couldn't have been achieved, but in a more logical and consistent manner).
I don't know whether the part with Anastasia being called a princess was just a manner of speech, but if it wasn't, then it is even less plausible.
Finally this ends up with Laila getting what looks like a happy end, considering her environment she seems to have been quite lucky. Basically the author gives the reader what he wants rather than what he needs. I'd argue that this ending on an unrealistically happy note takes away from the theme - in a seinen manga I would expect a deeper characterisation and more realistic outcomes.

I realize that's a lot of stuff to take in, some of which obviously subjective. And my point is not that this is bad, it just has its flaws, and the easy and positively biased way in which situations are resolved are more shounen-ish than seinen-ish. It's simply not a story I consider targeted at adults.

Oh this is awesome, the story and the art style is just impressive mmm...~!

@Hachi015 the thing that matter the most in deciding whether it's Shounen or Seinen is the place this was published mmm...
If it was published in Seinen magazine (or web?) then it's Seinen, if it's published in Shounen magazine then it's Shounen mmm...
Since the scanlator said it's Shounen, it is most likely a Shounen mmm...
