Welcome to Google, where there are 3-4 different projects all doing the same thing at the same time, and those teams don't communicate with each other, and so create redundant stuff that confuses people, and then none of those projects work out (due to lack of focus) or maybe they do work out, but they all get shut down anyway, leaving you in the lurch if you actually bought into any of those platforms and started using them.
