Their relationship development is so good! So wholesome!
I finally pay attention to the fact: Kagome takes her education very seriously. In one of the earlier chapters, her friends even comment that she has always been in the top 30 in the whole school. That turns me a complete 180 degree, because I always remember about how she always has to retake her math tests and has a lot of struggles studying.
With InuYasha, she takes her books and and remembers to study and go back for attendance and tests. At home, she is usually at school or studies at her desk fervently. She graduates middle school, gets into and graduates high schools while also Shikon hunting and saving the world. If you know how difficult the Japanese education system and curriculum are, you might realise Kagome might actually be an outstanding student! Only 3 days to prep for exams, girl, it's usually 1-2 weeks for normal students. And not taking classes regularly, more like self-studying/home-schooling, and still advancing; Girl has skills of college students.
I'm just saying, Kagome is such a great character and good role model for youngsters. Not striving to be perfect, but always trying her best and be responsible for herself.
Share with me if you have manga recommendations where protagonists actually study like here, not just focused on romance and action. Non-Takahashi and not Silver Spoon. Those two I'm certain.
