I mean, it does make sense for the demi humans to have injuries. With how oppressed they are they wouldn't have access to healers, are actively hunted and attacked, so it makes sense that both captured and ones who are fighting off hunters would have accumulated injuries.
There will be slaves without major injuries, but how they are treated has been made rather clear. The most telling is the refusal to even let a human buy food for them. They are clearly seen as disposable.
Also only those who are fighters can really party with him. And them putting up a fight, means getting hurt.
