Wasn't he stopping bladed weapons with his bare hand a few chapters back? Honestly don't think he stopped the foreplay because of an involuntary tailstrike, I just figured he wasn't into being watched by random passersbys as he teased some dragon tahtahs.

Look properly around the scene, it showed through characters how it went limp also and she was talking about being unable to control her strengh when she gets excited, they were high up enough for people not being able to see what is going inside, there was just a bit of noise since the wall got destroyed

Realistically speaking, he likely stopped it more for the sake of sparing the innkeeper's pockets, and in turn, their own pockets, from burning a hole in repairs to the inn. That was a single tail strike, and not at full power, yet it did that much damage to the wall of the building, just imagine the kind of destruction it might have caused had they continued without a care in the world.

But realistically speaking is boring, and such a drag, it's much more fun just poking fun at the MC for entertainment's sake.
