So I'm fully aware of the long hiatus between Rei's intro chapter where they talk in the yard and Sasamori runs away in tears. And the next chapter where it's revealed she has the pendant because surely that was something they decided during the hiatus.

Because otherwise their exchange in the yard pre-hiatus makes no sense if Sasamori has it in her possession and can easily bring it out and say hey is this it? Sakurai-senpai left it here.
