Using autocorrect is fine but afterwards proofread what you wrote.
The Japanese saying is usually “If apologies were enough we wouldn’t need the police”, meaning apologies don’t excuse any behavior.
But here police was replaced by polystyrene, whose beginning syllables sound similar. Though I don’t know if this is in the original, some awkward translation for a similar Japanese pun, or a joke of the translators.
