I had a feeling Xiao Lu and her mother would join Beiyang. I wonder if Princess Lu will become an angel just like her mother. She has nothing to lose if she becomes one. The only downside is unbearable pain for like 12 hours.

@west23 She looks a lot like Himiko. Her hair is very short just like when she cut it and she has the same body type. It's possible I'm looking too far into this but she ended up talking about a foldable chair as a weapon which only Mu, Himiko and Ding Yuan would know about. Since Mu beat Himiko over the head with a foldable chair in the very beginning. Maybe Himiko has an older sister.

Surprised that no one mentioned that on pg 2 that the soap that was dropped was the 'cucumber' soap... and I believe there were many 'large' cucumbers there.

Pag 14, admiral Mu appear on the screen (is when he do that "cute" rage with the pink shirt torned after he saved pleiades princess) when she talk about morale of soldiers and people... wonder the choice of that moment... after all, after that scene he was claimed first charming prince of the galaxy.

Can someone explain the meaning behind the background with the baby chicks?

Also I love how Golden Hamster is on half the commercials. Alcoholic Loli taking the universe by storm.

....... -_-" you know, always find it a bit odd when Chinese lore heavy things like this skip over Sun Zhu's art of war.... Or even the abridged version which is "Cheat cheat cheat cheat, if you ain't cheating you ain't giving it your all, playing fair is playing at a disadvantage" What with a commander/leader/general/whoever's calling the shots in a military action's job is to minimize the casualties of their own forces while, optionally*, making the enemy pay ruinous costs even if they manage to win.
*sometimes you need to just blugeon the enemy into submission due to there being a bigger threat or you're in need of new conscripts.

Side note: I have a deep seated distaste for RTS games I can't quite explain/figure out.

Thanks for the chapter!
Should have added in the commercial how well it does cleaning up blood, hair, and viscera. Looks like Bao finally got how important the feelings and values of the masses beaten into him. Anyone know if he survived the lesson or if some idiot is going to bring out a 2.0 robot version?

I wonder if it's because Sun Tzu is "THE Chinese strategist/tactician" to western folks, but to Chinese writers he's just one of many (Zhuge Liang has been mentioned in this comic several times).

Interestingly, the MC is using Sun Tzu's strategies to the letter - much of what the man wrote was about alternatives to battle, weakening enemy forces, and using noncombat means (spies, diplomats, etc.) to ensure victory in a diplomatic or military struggle. Sun Tzu's also one of the first recorded authors to view military action as merely one of many means to obtain a particular diplomatic/political end, rather than an Us vs. Them ULTIMATE STRUGGLE.

side note: I have a deep seated distaste for RTS games I can't quite explain/figure out.

Try Offworld Trading Company. I've always hated the balance between base/army building, resource management, and combat most RTS games enforce, but I love what this game does by eliminating direct combat and making it an entirely market/resource based game. It's the most intense RTS I've ever played, and completely eschews my problems with the genre (although those might not be your problems with it). It's got free multiplayer, too.

Nah, I'm literally one of those people who'd prefer to just suckerpunch the other player to win a chess game if that was allowed.... Hell I'd probably do it anyway if they annoyed me enough.
Nuclear Dawn is the closest thing to an RTS that I've enjoyed playing as the eye in the sky. .... Probably because I can just up and stop playing the eye in the sky to kill some flankers myself.

I'm fine with the combat, I'm fine with the resource management stuff to a degree. My issue's, as far as I can tell, stem that it just doesn't quite feel right somehow.
..... Come to think of it the Commander role in the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm games is probably about where I like my RTS games. -_-" Calling in support when and where it's needed but otherwise in the trenches and running towards the meat grinder with the rest of us...... I should get back into playing RS2: Vietnam.
