Germany's mark ended up so worthless you could use it as wallpaper, nevermind buying bread.
The Allied countries refused to let Germany have a break in reparations, as they were struggling because of the crash too.
Germany is now humiliated, broke, and most people starving.
Hitler, wasn't just a painter, he was a veteran from WW1. He earned an Iron Cross during his service as a corporal.
He tried to get into art school, but was denied for whatever reason. That'd been the end of it until he read a pamphlet that talked about Zionism, and came to the conclusion that the Jews blocked him from being an art student, started WW1 and let Germany get humiliated.
And the rest is history, quite literally.
