Ooo interesting! I’ve always wanted to try fencing myself although sadly it’s pretty expensive to get an official club membership and proper equipment back where I live (plus with the current state of me being broke and jobless lol) :(

Also really hoping this won’t eventually turn into the usual shonen sports cliche schtick of unecessary drama and overly exaggerated rivalry

@shishamo I guess we'll find out. Mangaupdates doesn't have any tags or other information on it so only someone who has read the raws will know.

I wonder if someone is going to translate Itsumo Tonari ni Uchuujin.

If you haven't read it I recommend Teppu but you better believe it has ridiculous drama and rivalry but that doesn't really matter because the manga wasn't really finished so pretty much every single dramatic background thread all the characters have are left unresolved. Pretty sure it got axed because you can tell based on all the setup the story was definitely supposed to continue after the last chapter at the end of the tournament arc.

Wow, I love the art in this. It's a cute, expressive style. The story setup is fun too, so I'm in.

"Getting into petty fights" -> "fencing"
So she went from developing a somewhat useful skill to developing a similar but entirely useless one. Sounds like progress.

Art is kinda good but it kills me seeing those girls waving those weapons in open space like it's nothing and FUCKING DUELING EACH OTHER WITHOUT PROTECTION for fun.

Well, it's the first time I'm reading a manga about a sport I did competitively for years and it revolts me. Is it the same for every sport manga out there?

Sup. I updated the English title to something less retarded than the bad translation of one of the original manga's French subtitles. Hopefully this doesn't mess up reading lists :/ I know the original data came from Mangaupdates, which I have to fix next.

It's probably notable that the official French localization made the title in French simply "En Garde!"
