It's been so long since I've used C for anything much that I've almost forgotten how much of a pain debugging null pointers is . . . Not that I've been using Rust, mind - I'm in a devops hole that has me doing most of my coding in Puppet and shell . . . I'd almost trade null pointers for Puppet's brain-dead stupidity . . .
