That's one of those fruit alcohol drinks. I've bought one by mistake before as well, but if you actually pay attention, you can spot the お酒 part and recognize what it is before you buy. Dunno if someone in a school uniform could get away with buying it, but nobody actually really checks ages. (Legal drinking age is 20.)
